Mr. Keehn is an experienced corporate and commercial transactions attorney with a comprehensive understanding of the formation, operation and dissolution of business entities. Mr. Keehn’s practice has a strong focus on commercial litigation and creditor’s rights in both state and federal courts for which he enjoys a reputation for being exceptionally well qualified. Mr. Keehn has substantial experience in the representation of both secured and unsecured creditors, including precedent-setting published decisions involving creditors’ rights in Chapter 11 reorganization cases (In re Mahoney; In re Diversified Investors Fund XVII); federal jurisdictional issues (40235 Washington Street Corp. v. W.C. Lusardi); and establishing exceptions to a discharge in bankruptcy (In re Briles). Mr. Keehn’s bankruptcy practice also includes representing debtors with business related individual liquidation proceedings under Chapter 7, as well as complex reorganization proceedings of corporate and other business entities under Chapter 11. He has also represented bankruptcy trustees in both Chapter 7 and 11 proceedings, examiners, and creditor committees in Chapter 11 proceedings and has served as both an Examiner and Trustee in major Chapter 11 proceedings. Mr. Keehn is recognized as one of the foremost commercial litigation bankruptcy practitioners in the County of San Diego.
